This is a send-in installation service for the MakeMHz Project Stellar XboxHD+ Kit. Stellar XboxHD+ Kit is NOT included with this service and must be provided by the customer.

Installation Service Includes -

Installation of Stellar PCB

Includes initial programming of the Stellar board with required BIOS file
Installation of LPC Header
Installation of EasyD0 (1.0-1.5) or LCP Rebuild (1.6)
Updating Stellar to the latest firmware

Installation of XboxHD+ PCB

Installation of XboxHD+ flex and associated wiring
Installation of XboxHD+ QSB
Installation of HDMI port cover and XboxHD+ screw mount
Update Stellar/XboxHD+ firmware to latest release
Console tested to ensure proper functionality

Console Cleaning

Exterior wipedown
Internal cleaning, removing any loose dust/dirt

This does not include removal of tough stains or caked on substances (ultrasonic cleaning is available for deep cleaning).

Upgrade your Xbox RAM to 128MB! This can greatly improve the performance of certain dashboards and homebrew applications. Installation Includes -

x4 Xbox RAM modules

Electrolytic Capacitor Replacement

Over time, electrolytic capacitors lose their ability to perform as intended. This can have varying effects on performance (none good). The electrolyte, paper and aluminum foil in the capacitor degrade physically and chemically over time. Aging capacitors can cause a wide range of issues and in extreme cases can leak electrolytic fluid onto the PCB (again, not good). Capacitor replacement comes in a few forms for the Xbox depending on your needs. All 1500uf caps are upgraded to Aluminum Polymers! Aluminum Polymer capacitors are lifetime parts and should not need to be replaced again.

Essential Recap

This service replaces the essential caps (clock cap, and the large capacitors in front of the CPU). These caps are usually the first to go.

Motherboard Recap

This service completely recaps the motherboard of the Xbox.

Complete Recap

This service replaces all electrolytic capacitors on both the motherboard and power supply of the Xbox.

Power LED Replacement

This service replaces the original Xbox power LEDs with 1:1 replacements in your choice of color. When selecting color at checkout, the first color will be the power-on color (OEM is green), and the second is the Error color (OEM is red). So OEM colors would be green/red. Current color options are -

Red/Blue
Blue/Green

Thermal Compound Replacement

Thermal compound or thermal paste is an intermediary that improves heat transfer between two surfaces (in this case, the heatsync and chip). Thermal compounds can break down over time due to aging and heat cycling, which can reduce their ability to transfer heat effectivly. This service replaces the old and worn out thermal compound under the CPU and GPU heatsyncs with new high conductivity PC quality thermal paste.

Controller Port LED

This option adds your choice of LED color to the Xbox controller ports! This is not just some 3mm LEDs and a through-hole resistor shoved into the port cavity.. No no no.. This service utilizes custom fabricated PCBs with proper SMD components that fit perfectly behind the port directing the LEDs to shine exactly where they should. This service includes -

4x Xbox Controller Port LED PCBs in your choice of color (Blue, Red, Green, White, Pink, Orange)
4x Xbox Controller Port LED PCBs Installed and Tested.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

With this service, your console will be disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned. Ultrasonic cleaning removes even the most stubburn dust and dirt that a hand cleaning just cant reach. Service includes -

Additional Information -

Once your order is received, you will be sent shipping information to send your console in for the work to be completed.

Initial shipping is the customers responsibility. Please ship your console and kit with ample packing material. Shipping paid at checkout is how your console will be shipped back to you after the work has been completed.

Please only send the console and kit to be installed. Power cables, controllers, AV cables or any other accessories that are not needed will only raise the shipping costs both ways.

If a console arrives not working, you will be contacted and notified. Most things can be fixed and arrangements can be made, but in the case of a console that is inoperable, the console will be returned, and you will be refunded minus return shipping costs.

Turnaround time is usually within 2-3 weeks, but can be longer depending on current workload or if parts need to be ordered.
