WHAT IS THIS?:

This is a send-in installation service for the one LPC Port chip installation (Stellar, Aladdin, Open Xenium).

LPC chip (Stellar, Aladdin, Open Xenium) is not provided in this listing. Stellar can be purchased from -> MakeMhz.com

HOW DOES THIS WORK?:

We will then provide you with our shipping information to send your console and mod kit to us here at Retro Digital LLC for the services to be performed.

Once received your system will be tested and then thoroughly cleaned removing dust and debris that may have collected in the system over the years.

We will then install the requested modifications and extensively test everything to ensure proper functionality.

Turnaround time can vary depending on current workload and will be posted on the homepage.

ADDITIONAL SERVCIES OFFERED:

Open Xenium Installation (Recommended): Over Unlock the full potential of your XboxHD+ with an Open Xenium! This service will install your provided Open Xenium chip along with LPC rebuild (v1.6)! Open Xenium is an open source recreation of an Original Xbox LPC memory/IO device. Multiple BIOS, FTP, Hard Drive Rebuilding, Locking/Unlocking and more! Open Xenium is not included with this service.

Blue Power LED: This replaces the standard Green power LED for Blue! These are direct replacements so no functionality is lost. Error color will still be Red. This makes the new in-between color Purple! Bi-Color LEDs are included with this service!

Capacitor Replacement: Over time electrolytic capacitors can start to loose their capacitance and in some cases may even leak on to the PCB causing permanent corrosive damage. Replacing electrolytic capacitors in an older game system is a great way to keep it in service for many more years to come! High quality capacitor kit is included with this service!

New Thermal Compound: Thermal compound is a thermally conductive (but usually electrically insulating) chemical compound, which is commonly used as an interface between heat sinks and heat sources such as high-power semiconductor devices. The main role of thermal paste is to eliminate air gaps or spaces (which act as thermal insulation) from the interface area in order to maximize heat transfer and dissipation. Thermal paste is an example of a thermal interface material. Over time this material can break down leading to increased temperatures and in severe cases part failure. With this service we will remove the old thermal compound and replace it with new high efficiency compound that will keep your system running well in to the future!

Ultra-Sonic Cleaning & Polish: With this service your console will first be disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned. This removes all of the hidden dirt and dust that a hand cleaning just can't get to. Even a warm soapy bath is nothing compared to the cavitation produced by the thermistors of a medical grade ultrasonic cleaner! After the ultrasonic cleaning the housing will be polished off with an aerospace UV protectant. This restores the plastic's UV protection preventing fading, cracking and discoloration from harmful UV rays while at the same time repelling dirt, dust and stains keeping your system looking better, longer!

Initial shipping is your responsibility. Please ship your system with ample packing materials. Additional insurance is also highly recommended. Shipping paid at checkout is how your system will be shipped back to you after the work has been completed.

All systems are cleaned, thoroughly inspected and stress tested prior to shipping to make sure you are getting the best service possible!

If a system arrives not working as intended (unless otherwise stated) for whatever reason, you will be contacted and notified. Most things can be fixed and arrangements can be made, but in the case of a system that is sent in inoperable condition the system will be returned and you will be refunded minus return shipping costs.
