HOW DOES THIS WORK?:

Start by purchasing the services you would like us to perform on your system.

We will then provide you with our shipping information to send your console and mod kit to us here at Retro Digital LLC for the services to be performed.

Once received your system will be tested and then thoroughly cleaned removing any dust and debris that may have collected in the system over the years.

We will then install the requested modifications and extensively test everything to ensure proper functionality.

Your system will then be sent out to you via USPS Priority Mail 1-3 Day.

Turnaround time can vary depending on current workload and will be posted on the homepage.

ADDITIONAL SERVCIES OFFERED:

LED Color (FREE Single Color!): Free standard color LED with purchase of SD Loader installation! Multiple color options available. RGB Status LED replaces the stock Red LED with a controllable RGB status LED! Colors can be changed for different functions in the SD Loader settings. RGB LED is included with this service!

Capacitor Replacement: Over time electrolytic capacitors can start to loose their capacitance and in some cases may even leak on to the PCB causing permanent corrosive damage. Replacing electrolytic capacitors in an older game system is a great way to keep it in service for many more years to come! High quality capacitor kit is included with this service!

3D Printed SD Extension: Have a CD drive beyond repair and don't want to chance dropping your SD card in the back vent? Well worry not! We designed a 3D printed SD extension that mounts in place of the CD drive and accepts full size SD cards! Available in all basic colors!

FRAM Memory Upgrade: The Neo Geo CD uses a battery dependent SRAM for memory. This means if the battery ever dies in the system, so do your save files! This service replaces removes the battery and replaces the old SRAM memory with non-volatile FRAM! FRAM is included with this service

RGB Video Repair (Sync on Luma): The Neo Geo CD RGB video output is notoriously broken. This repair will fix the RGB video output and take sync from Luma on the S-Video output. This does not effect any other video output, and simply repairs the Neo Geo CD RGB Video!

Ultra-Sonic Cleaning & Polish: With this service your console will first be disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned. This removes all of the hidden dirt and dust that a hand cleaning just can't get to. Even a warm soapy bath is nothing compared to the cavitation produced by the thermistors of a medical grade ultrasonic cleaner! After the ultrasonic cleaning the housing will be polished off with an aerospace UV protectant. This restores the plastic's UV protection preventing fading, cracking and discoloration from harmful UV rays while at the same time repelling dirt, dust and stains keeping your system looking better, longer!

Q: Hello, Some backstory, and then a question regarding your Neo Geo CD SD Loader install service. I installed a Neo Geo CD SD loader into a Neo Geo CD a while back. I was a able to purchase one back when Furrtek sold them directly. In the beginning I was able to get it to work, then after a period of time and only after a few uses, it just stopped loading the SD loader. I can still get the Neo Geo CD to boot into the music player menu, but the SD loader no longer boots. I attempted the firmware update and I would get the 3 yellow LED blink sequence, and a ROMDUMP.BIN file copied to the SD card. According to Furrtek's website, the 3 yellow lights mean "console's BIOS version was not recognized." I had reached out to Furrtek and he said "this sounds like there are contact issues between the loader and the console's 68000 chip." I had since tried to reinstall and firmly rest the loader over the chip, but I continued to get the same error. This ultimately left me giving up and put it up on a shelf. I happened across a YouTube video(Macho Nacho Productions) where they did an install but also had contact issues with their board where the socket on the SD Loader was the issue, which now has me wondering if that was my issue. Sounds like Phenom now uses an updated socket on the board. I've since came across your install repair service and was curious if my scenarios sounds like something that you think is fixable. Q: Hi, does the SD Card Extension in the back still support keeping the Optical drive working? Also, if I keep the optical drive working, can I use regular size SD cards with this extension? And will this rear extension require a hole in the rear of the console? I see the photo it is covering the serial number sticker. Will the sticker be damaged in the process?
