WHAT IS THIS?:

This is a send-in installation service for Tim Worthington's Nintendo Entertainment System RGB Mod or NESRGB.

NESRGB is not provided in this listing. Triple bypass can be purchased from etim.net.au/

HOW DOES THIS WORK?:

Start by purchasing the services you would like us to perform on your system.

We will then provide you with our shipping information to send your console and mod kit to us here at Retro Digital LLC for the services to be performed.

Once received your system will be tested and then thoroughly cleaned removing any dust and debris that may have collected in the system over the years.

We will then install the requested modifications and extensively test everything to ensure proper functionality.

Your system will then be sent back out to you via USPS Priority Mail 1-3 Day.

Turnaround time can vary depending on current workload and will be posted on the homepage.

ON THE HOUSE (FREE!):

FREE 3D Printed Multi-Out Port: This is a 3D printed Multi-Out port wired directly to the NESRGB for crystal clear audio and video output. This allows your system to be compatible with ALL official Nintendo A/V cables designed for the SNES, N64, and GameCube including commonly used SCART and HD-RetroVision component cables!
New 78S05 Voltage Regulator: The original 30 year old 7805 voltage regulator will be replaced with a brand new 78S05 for reduced heat and optimal performance for many years to come!
Expansion Audio: The Famicom was constructed with a feature which was not available to the NES. The Famicom always sent its internal audio to the cartridge port. For most games, the audio was sent back to the system without modification. 26 (of 1,054) licensed Famicom games contained hardware that could produce additional music and mix it in with the internal audio. This mod allows the addition audio channel to be heard and the games to be experienced the way they were meant to! This PCB addon we use was designed and graciously released by the great Voultar and has been assembled here in house!

OPTIONAL SERVCIES OFFERED:

Capacitor Replacement (Recommended): Over time electrolytic capacitors can start to loose their capacitance and in some cases may even leak on to the PCB causing permanent corrosive damage. Replacing electrolytic capacitors in an older game system is a great way to keep it in service for many more years to come! High quality capacitor kit is included with this service!

Ultra-Sonic Cleaning & Polish: With this service your console will first be disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned. This removes all of the hidden dirt and dust that a hand cleaning just can't get to. Even a warm soapy bath is nothing compared to the cavitation produced by the thermistors of a medical grade ultrasonic cleaner! After the ultrasonic cleaning the housing will be polished off with an aerospace UV protectant. This restores the plastic's UV protection preventing fading, cracking and discoloration from harmful UV rays while at the same time repelling dirt, dust and stains keeping your system looking better, longer!

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Initial shipping is your responsibility. Please ship your system with ample packing materials. Additional insurance is also highly recommended. Shipping paid at checkout is how your system will be shipped back to you after the work has been completed.

All systems are cleaned, thoroughly inspected and stress tested prior to shipping to make sure you are getting the best service possible!

If a system arrives not working as intended (unless otherwise stated) for whatever reason, you will be contacted and notified. Most things can be fixed and arrangements can be made, but in the case of a system that is sent in inoperable condition the system will be returned and you will be refunded minus return shipping costs.
