Description
Questions and Answers
This is a send-in installation service for the Nintendo Wii ElectronAVE (AVE-HDMI) from Electon-Shepherd.
AVE-HDMI kit is
NOT
included with this service and must be provided by the customer.
Installation Service Includes -
Installation of ElectronAVE
Installation of ElectronAVE flex and associated wiring
HDMI port cutout
Console tested to ensure proper functionality
Console Cleaning
Exterior wipedown
Internal cleaning, including removing any loose dust/dirt
This does not include removal of tough stains or caked on substances (ultrasonic cleaning is available for deep cleaning).
Additional Services Offered -
Electrolytic Capacitor Replacement
Over time, electrolytic capacitors lose their ability to perform as intended. This can have varying effects on performance (none good). The electrolyte, paper and aluminum foil in the capacitor degrade physically and chemically over time. Aging capacitors can cause a wide range of issues and in extreme cases can leak electrolytic fluid onto the PCB (again, not good).
Motherboard Recap
This option replaces the electrolytic capacitors on the Nintendo Wii motherboard.
Install Wii Softmod
With this service your Nintendo Wii system will be modified to allow it to run unsigned code (homebrew)! This unlocks the ability to run a plethora of applications, emulators, launchers and all sorts of amazing software that otherwise would be inaccessible! This option will install Homebrew Channel and PriiLoader w/ deflicker. PriiLoader loads before the Wii system menu giving a level of brick protection. Enabling the deflicker option in PriiLoader will even further clear up the picture quality by removing the "blur" effect.
Softmod Includes
1x 32GB SD Card
Homebrew Channel and Apps Installed
PriiLoader with deflicker option
Installation of custom IOS/CIOS
Install Customer Provided Housing
With this service the original Nintendo Wii housing will be swapped out for a new one provided by the customer.
This option includes -
Tapping of screw posts
Faceplate Rebuild
Internal components transferred over to new housing
HDMI port cutout made in new housing
Install IR Sensor
With this service the included IR sensor will be installed. This is provided for Nintendo Wii consoles that do not have the GameCube controller ports (and thus no other way to access the GC-Video OSD. This can also be handy with transparent consoles as no other holes need to be cut into the housing and you can use both IR remote, and GameCube controller to access the OSD. Solid color consoles like White/Black/Red etc. will require a hole drilled in the back to use the IR sensor.
IR Sensor Installation Includes
IR Sensor Installed with associated wiring
FREE IR Remote
IR Remote configured to console
Thermal Pad Replacement
Thermal pads are an intermediary that improves heat transfer between two surfaces (in this case, the heatsink and chip). Thermal pads can break down over time due to aging and heat cycling, which can reduce their ability to transfer heat effectively.
This service replaces the old and worn out thermal pads with new high conductivity PC quality pads.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
With this service, your console will be disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned. Ultrasonic cleaning removes even the most stubborn dust and dirt that a hand cleaning just cant reach.
Ultrasonic Clean Housing
Ultrasonic cleaning of console housing
Ultrasonic cleaning of console shielding
Ultrasonic cleaning of internal plastic parts
Additional Information -
Once your order is received, you will be sent shipping information to send your console in for the work to be completed.
Initial shipping is the customers responsibility. Please ship your console and kit with ample packing material. Shipping paid at checkout is how your console will be shipped back to you after the work has been completed.
Please only send the console and kit to be installed. Power cables, controllers, AV cables or any other accessories that are not needed will only raise the shipping costs both ways.
If a console arrives not working, you will be contacted and notified. Most things can be fixed and arrangements can be made, but in the case of a console that is inoperable, the console will be returned, and you will be refunded minus return shipping costs.
Turnaround time is usually within 2-3 weeks, but can be longer depending on current workload or if parts need to be ordered.
Is there a specific mod you would like that is not on this listing? Send us a message! We can customize any order to your liking, and adjust the price accordingly depending on what it is. We are always happy to help and look forward to working with you on your next project!

Hello Retro Digital, I have 40 revision Wii that I would like to have AVE-HDMI installed. Do you recommend capacitor replacement and are the Wii's known to have the capcitors fail?

Q:
is it possible to get a new case with this option? I feel like I saw the option to add a clear or blue plastic case, but maybe I'm mistaken. either way, my current case is really scratched up, and a new case would make it easier to for me to differentiate between my consoles. Thank you!

Hi, I'm potentially interested in buying the Nintendo Wii AVE-HDMI Installation Service soon. I have one question though. When you pay for this service do you receive a Wii with the mod installed, or do I have to send in my own Wii and or AVE HDMI kit? Thanks in advance Masier

Q:
Hi - I wanted to check and see if you were still providing installation of the Wii AVE-HDMI kit. The "availability" shows as out of stock but I'd be providing the kit with my Wii. Thank you!
