Arthrimus Wii-HDMI
The Wii-HDMI v1.1 kit runs on the GCVideo project by ikorb and provides a clean digital to digital HDMI output to the Wii. It supports all of the native output resolutions of the Wii, as well as line-doubled 240p and deinterlaced 480i. The Wii-HDMI’s menus can be controlled using a GameCube controller plugged into controller port 1, or it can also be controlled using an infrared remote. It’s the best way to get video out of the Wii and onto a modern LCD or OLED tv. The quality of the video output is superior even to the HDMI output of the Wii U’s backwards compatibility mode when running Wii games. Unlike other Wii HDMI solutions, the WiiHDMI v1.1 does NOT disable composite video permanently. The AVE-HDMI (Electron-HDMI) and Retro G.E.M. both require bridging pins on the AV port to force the Wii into 480p. This bridge disables composite video. Much like the WiiDual (minus the RGB output), the WiiHDMI v1.1 from Arthrimus connects the mode pin to the FPGA, allowing control of the output through the OSD using the "Allow 480p Mode" option. - OSD (GC Controller Port 1) - L + R + Y + X (Hold for 3 Seconds)

Complete Capacitor Replacement
- Over time, electrolytic capacitors lose their ability to perform as intended. This can have varying effects on performance (none good). The electrolyte, paper and aluminum foil in the capacitor degrade physically and chemically over time. Aging capacitors can cause a wide range of issues and in extreme cases can leak electrolytic fluid onto the PCB (again, not good). All electrolytic capacitors have been removed and replaced with high temperature (105C rated), long life replacements.
Arctic Thermal Pads
- Over time, thermal pads can start to break down leading to higher temperatures and eventual failure. The old stock thermal pads on this Nintendo Wii console have been replaced with top of the line Arctic thermal pads for optimal performance.
Lid-Delete Top Panel
- The top lids on the Nintendo Wii console are notorious for coming off, breaking or getting lost. This 3D printed top panel removes the lids, covers the gaps at the top of the Wii. All while keeping the original aesthetic, and allowing access to the GameCube ports.
Ultrasonic Cleaning and More!
- This console has been completely disassembled, new housing added, shielding and internal mounting pieces run through an industrial ultrasonic cleaner, and DVD drive cleaned and serviced! Please note, while these housings are new, there are some minor blemishes from the factory.
